GF Isabel is a hotel where the two come together beautifully. It is designed as a small Canarian village with low-rise houses, squares, gardens, apartments, bungalows and villas. Instead of a conventional hotel room, you get more space and the feeling of having your own holiday home in Tenerife.

The Longevity Travel package includes seven nights with breakfast, a direct return flight from Ljubljana, airport taxes, 20 kg of checked baggage and 5 kg of hand baggage per person, a private transfer between the airport and the hotel, and package travel insurance. Why GF Isabel is a good choice for families

The hotel is in Costa Adeje, in the sunny south of Tenerife. The sandy beaches of Playa de Fañabé and Playa del Duque, the seafront promenade, restaurants and shops are only a few minutes away. Tenerife South Airport is approximately 20 km away, so the transfer after landing is short and convenient even for younger children.

GF Isabel is built in the style of a Canarian village. Low-rise buildings, wooden balconies, gardens and internal squares give it a more pleasant, homely character than a large hotel block. You can move around the complex with a pushchair and spend the day, without extensive planning, between the pools, children's areas, playgrounds and the central square, where the evening entertainment takes place.

Children can enjoy children's pools, water features, playgrounds, the Mini Club, Mini Disco and daily entertainment. The family can play mini golf or table tennis together or take part in sports activities. Meanwhile, parents can take some time for a massage, wellness treatment or a quieter spot by the pool. Family with one child

The apartment, measuring approximately 47 m², has a separate bedroom, living area, kitchen and balcony. The bungalow measures approximately 50 m² and has a living area, equipped kitchen and terrace; some also have a garden. Both options are practical when you want more space than in a standard hotel room, the option to prepare a snack, and a separate living area for the evening once your child is asleep.

Family with two children

According to the officially published maximum occupancy, the right choice for a family with two children is a two-bedroom villa. It measures approximately 87 m², is arranged over two floors, and has a garden, two bathrooms, an additional toilet and an outdoor hydromassage tub with water at room temperature. It accommodates a maximum of four people. A one-bedroom villa accommodates a maximum of three people, so it is suitable for two adults and one child, but not for a family with two children. The official website does not specify the exact bed configuration according to the children's ages, so we check this in the booking system before confirmation.

Breakfast, half board or all inclusive

Breakfast for families who want to explore the island

The basic package includes breakfast. This is a good option if you plan to hire a car and go somewhere different every day: towards Teide, to the north of the island, to Loro Parque, to the natural pools or to smaller Canarian towns. You have breakfast at the hotel in the morning, while during the day you are not tied to a set lunch or dinner time. The kitchen in the apartment, bungalow or villa makes it easier to prepare a snack or a simple meal for children.

Half board for a comfortable routine

Half board offers a middle ground. You can explore Tenerife during the day, then return to dinner waiting for you at the hotel in the evening. The supplement is €12.60 per person per night. This is a sensible choice for a family planning excursions but not wanting to look for a restaurant after a day at the beach or in Siam Park.

All inclusive for holidays spent mainly at the hotel

We recommend all inclusive for families who want to make good use of the hotel's pools, entertainment and food and beverage facilities. Meals and a selection of drinks are included according to the hotel's programme, making the cost of the holiday more predictable and the day easier with young children. Family adventures in Tenerife

Tenerife offers much more than a poolside holiday. From Costa Adeje, you can put together just the right mix of sea, nature and entertainment over the course of a week. Siam Park is a full-day water adventure with attractions for different age groups; height restrictions apply to certain slides. From Puerto Colón harbour, you can go on a responsible whale- and dolphin-watching trip in their natural environment. Choose a licensed operator that follows the rules on approaching animals.

Teide National Park is accessible by hire car, and it is where children can truly experience for the first time what it feels like to walk on a volcanic island. The landscape is almost otherworldly, and the temperature difference between the coast and higher elevations can be substantial, so bring warmer clothes. For a longer excursion, you can visit Loro Parque in the north; on a more relaxed day, choose Playa de Fañabé, Playa del Duque, ice cream along the promenade or a shorter trip to Los Cristianos. You can spend one day entirely at the hotel and find yourself among volcanoes or out on the ocean the next. This variety is precisely the greatest advantage of a family holiday in Tenerife.
